| The health post is established
for the welfare of the middle class and poor people, residing in
urban areas in particular women and children. |
| Besides distributing medicines
and tablets of good quality to people living in poor pecuniary conditions,
they are also provided with free medical checkup. In the mornings
outpatients are treated, medical checkup to pregnant mothers are
done and babies and young children are given medicines after prompt

| Through fieldwork,particulars
of pregnant women are enumerated for proper anti-natal mother care
to achieve the goal under MCH performance to avoid maternal as well
as infant deaths according to goals fixed by the Govt. The field
staff of the centre educate and advise the pregnant women about
the care to be taken during pregnancy period, the need to go to
hospital for delivery. The check up is regularly done in the centre. |

propagating the necessity of talking nutritious food and enlighters
the public about the importance of self-health and environmental
health. |
| The important national
programmes of triple vaccine and other preventive measures,supply
of medicines and weighing are implemented in this centre. |
| This health centre is
evincing keen interest and putting efforts to implement the family
welfare programme by approaching and advising the women talk to
adopt the family welfare sterilization methods and to follow other
temporary family methods. This health post has planned to considerably
reduce the number of out patients and to encourage more number of
sterilizations. |
| MATERNITY CARE |
| As stated above,the health
post bestows much of its attention in attending to the pregnant
women periodically. They are advised about the importance of talking
nutritious food,iron tablets etc. This health post is systematically
observing the weight of newborn babies and conducting proper medical
checkup. This health post has drawn up a programme to completely
avoid deliveries at home. |
| FAMILY WELFARE |
| Sterilizations are done
in the centre itself. After operation proper post operative care
is provided. |
